FOREIGN OFFICE JUN 10
June // 1910.
I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey to
Gov. acknowledge the receipt of your letter 6686 of the
28th ultimo forwarding a copy of a despatch from the
Governor of Hong Kong with regard to the boundaries
of the territories leased to the Colony under the Con-
vention of June 9th, 1898.

of opinion that it would be inopportune to approach
the Chinese Government until the negotiations with re-
gard to the establishment of a joint working agreement
for the two sections of the Kowloon Canton Railway
have been completed, considers however that on their
successful termination it would be desirable to in-
vite the Chinese Government to appoint a Commissioner
to verify the Northern boundary and the point where
the eastern boundary cuts the shore of Mirs Bay, and
to
he Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office.
